ok so first of all i am 20 years of age and have no convictions stopping me from going into a gun shop and walking out with a rifle in the same visit. how ever due to financial reasons and refusal i wont get my license and a vehicle so i mostly travel by bike (the pedaling kind). i was looking into the laws myself and i came across this "Notwithstanding any state or local law, a person shall be entitled to transport a firearm from any place where he may lawfully possess and transport such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and transport such firearm if the firearm is unloaded and in a locked container." does this mean that if i have a gun case (its a cloth one i think i can lock with a masterlock) can i go to a gun shop and purchase a new rifle and transport the rifle in the case slung across my back and carry other such stuff such as ammo or accessories for the rifle in a book bag also on my back but not in the same case. also the local gun shop does mostly sell trigger locks and would those help me in any way. my main concern is not getting pulled over (i'm willing to bet every cop who passes me on my way will see the case and instantly pull me over >....
